Android 9 Pie: Motorola Z3 Series, Moto G6 Series & Other Moto Smartphones Confirmed to Get Android P OS Soon
Lenovo-owned Motorola smartphone company has finally confirmed the new Android Pie update for its devices. Here’s a complete list of Moto Devices that supports Android 9 OS.
Earlier this month, Google introduced its new OS - Android 9 Pie, which is currently applicable to the Google Pixel/ XL and Pixel 2/2XL smartphones. Now, a week after the launch, Motorola has confirmed that it will be rolling out the new Android 9 update to its particular devices soon. The Moto devices eligible for Android 9 Pie are as follows:
- Moto Z3
- Moto Z3 Play
- Moto Z2 Force Edition
- Moto Z2 Play
- Moto X4
- Moto G6 Plus
- Moto G6
- Moto G6 Play
It seems that Motorola’s Moto Z phones, Moto E5 devices, Moto G5 and Moto G5S models are being left out, for the moment. Though there is no date yet confirmed by the company, it has assured that the update will be rolled out by this fall. As for other OEMs, HTC, OnePlus and Sony also confirmed to bring the new Android 9 update to their devices. Starting from HTC, devices like HTC U12+, HTC U11+, HTC U11, and HTC U11 Life will receive the update. Whereas, Sony devices such as Sony Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ2 Premium, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact and Xperia XZ Premium will get the update by September. Finally, OnePlus devices like the OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T and the latest OnePlus 6 smartphones will be getting the update by the end of this fall.
