Amazon is one of the top tech innovators and e-commerce giant. Amazon recently unveiled a new streaming device called Fire TV Cube. The new device will be an upgrade to Amazon’s previous product Fire TV Stick. Amazon Fire TV Cube is priced at $ 120 (approx. Rs. 8,100) and the online sale starts from June 21. While pre-orders have been initiated and prime users will get a discount on the device of $ 89.99(approx. Rs. 6,080) if they place the order on June 7 or 8. Currently, there is no date announced for India and is only available to US customers.
The new Fire TV Cube is a fusion of Amazon’s Echo and Fire TV stick. The new device comes with in-built Alexa allowing users to give voice commands such as surf through channels. Amazon Fire TV Cube is designed in such a way that user will not need a remote. With help of the inbuilt AI, the device can respond to commands like giving weather updates, playing music or movies and communicate with other smart home devices. Also, the new Fire TV Cube is capable to stream 4K UHD videos. The digital media player also incorporates four IR blasters which will help the device to command IR receiving products like speakers, radio and many more. Coming to the hardware side, Fire TV Cube is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 16GB internal storage. Amazons new streaming device also supports Dolby Atmos.
