The action packed drama of the ongoing 11th edition of Indian Premiere League (IPL) touching new highs, the telecom service providers, on the other hand, seems to have started a data war in India. With an aim to lure more consumers during this IPL season, Bharti Airtel has announced a new Rs. 49 offer for countering its arch rival - Reliance Jio. With this pack, the prepaid users will get 3GB of 4G Data for a day which is applicable for selected customers in the selected regions across the nation. On the other hand, Reliance Jio is offering 1GB of 4G Data for 7 days under its Rs. 52 plan for prime users which is applicable for all Jio users across the country. Moreover, Airtel already has a Rs. 49 plan which will be replaced by the older plan. The company also specifies the users to check the availability of the package before recharging. Going by the previous Rs. 49 plan, the company offered 3GB of 4G data for 28 days. Also, the older pack will still be available in the regions where the new pack is not available. Interested users can avail this prepaid plan by recharging through official My Airtel App or Airtel's website.
As a reminder, the company recently also introduced 30GB of 4G data absolutely for the new users. The interested users just need to have 4G enabled smartphone and need to register themselves for a new SIM through Airtel website or My Airtel App. In order to activate the offer, the users are required to call on 51111. Considering the amount of competition in the market today, Reliance Jio also extended its prime membership offer for a year. Comparing with other telecom services, Jio users are enjoying a lot of attractive offers with higher data packages. Airtel's Rs. 249 offer was later revised to Rs. 349 wherein the users can avail 3GB daily data for 28 days as a part of this package.
