Organised by International Olympic Committee (IOC) the prestigious multi-sport tournament is scheduled to kick off on October 6 and last until October 18. The opening ceremony of the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics is going to be held at the Obelisco de Buenos Aires, a national historic monument and icon of Buenos Aires in the centre of the city.
