SummerSlam is often dubbed as 'The Biggest Party of the Summer'. This event is considered to be the second biggest one after WrestleMania. The first SummerSlam event took place on Aug 29, 1988, at Madison Square Garden, New York in New York City. From 2009-2014, SummerSlam was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, from there onwards the event took place every year at the Barclays Center in the New York City. List of Matches at SummerSlam 2019

1. Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins for Universal Championship 

The current Universal Champion, the 'Beast Incarnate' will defend his title against Seth Rollins. Brock Lesnar won back the title by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract against Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules PPV. The BeastSlayer became the champion at WrestleMania 35. Rollins earned the title match at SummerSlam 2019 by winning the 10 man Battle Royal at Monday Night Raw which happened the very next day of Extreme Rules 2019. 2. Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton for WWE Championship 

The World Champion from SmacKdown Kofi Kingston will face the 'Apex Predator' Randy Orton for WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2019. Kingston had the freedom to choose his opponent for the championship match at SummerSlam and without wasting any time he chose 'The Viper' Orton as his opponent.

3. Becky Lynch vs Natalya for Raw Women's Championship 

Natalya earned the title opportunity by winning the fatal 4-way match on Monday Next Raw episode after Extreme Rules 2019. The current champion 'The Man' will face 'Queen of Hart' in a submission match, this stipulation got added just six days prior to SummerSlam 2019.

4. Bayley vs Ember Moon for SmackDown Women's Championship 

Bayley offered the title match to Ember Moon when teamed up together for a Tag Team Match on SmackDown. Ember Moon happily accepted the challenge and now have the opportunity to become the champions at SummerSlam 2019.

5. Charlotte Flair vs Trish Stratus 

Just two weeks before SummerSlam 2019, Charlotte Flair put herself into the match with legendary diva wrestler Trish Stratus. Trish was invited by Jerry 'The King' Lawler on his show, which the Queen interrupted and challenged her for the match. Trish happily accepted the challenge as this will be her first contest at a pay per view after becoming a mother.

6. AJ Styles vs Ricochet for United States Championship

The phenomenal AJ Styles became the United States champion at Extreme Rules 2019 after getting some help from OC. However, Ricochet proved himself worthy for the title at SummerSlam 2019 by winning the gauntlet match.

7. Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon 

If Kevin Owens lose this match, he will be forced to quit WWE. Kevin Owens was attacked by Shane McMahon in the past episode of SmackDown in his show.

8. 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor 

Wyatt from the 'Firefly Funhouse' returned in his much-awaited avatar of 'The Fiend'. He targetted Finn Balor in his new look and it will be interesting to see whether Balor will appear on SummerSlam in his Demon look or not.

9. Goldberg vs Dolph Ziggler 

Dolph Ziggler was initially supposed to face The Miz on SummerSlam however we saw a shocking twist in the tale as Goldberg appeared on this past episode of Monday Night Raw. The Hall of Famer signed the contract for the match with Ziggler and said 'You're next'.

Apart from the above matches, we will see the Cruiserweight title match between the current titleholder Drew Gulak and Oney Lorcan. We could also see Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowans admit themselves culprit for the attack on Roman Reigns. However, 'The Big Dog', got implication from Buddy Murphy that Rowan is behind the attack.
