If you missed the latest episode of SmackDown LIVE, on July 31, we at LatestLY, have got you covered. The opening segment of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) weekly show saw No#1 contender Becky Lynch talking about her Women’s Championship opportunity at SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV), later this month.

Soon after, SmackDown LIVE Women’s Champion Carmella joined. Both the women wrestlers were involved in a heated argument which saw Carmella mellow down, eventually, and offered to shake hands with Lynch. However, she attacked her from behind taking advantage from the distraction that was caused by James Ellsworth entrance music. Charlotte Flair marked her return, as fans rejoiced, and made a timely save.

In continuation to it, SmackDown LIVE General Manager Paige lashed out at Carmella for her acts against Lynch in the ring, moments ago. She taunted Carmella and made Charlotte Flair vs Carmella match a main-event, later in the night. The stipulation of match being, if Flair won the match, she would be added to the SummerSlam Slam match, and it will then be a Triple Threat Match.

The first bout in the night saw The Usos face-off with The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro). The SmackDown Tag-team tournament match was won by The Bar, eventually; they will now face The New Day next week to determine the No#1 contenders for the SmackDown LIVE Tag-team Championship.

The night saw intriguing build-ups to WWE’s biggest show after Wrestlemania in the calendar year, i.e. SummerSlam. Samoa Joe addressed the WWE universe about his attack on AJ Styles last week. We take a look at the list of all matches that took place on SmackDown LIVE.
