The latest episode of SmackDown LIVE, on Tuesday, saw Randy Orton kick-off the show amidst boos from the crowd.
The latest episode of SmackDown LIVE, on Tuesday, saw Randy Orton kick-off the show. The Viper ranted about his long career in WWE and that he is still devoid of the respect that he deserves. Orton justified his attacks on Jeff Hardy and cautioned him that he would see more of it. The segment ended with Orton threatening to end Hardy’s career!
The first match of the night was between Rusev and Andrade “Cien” Almas; surprisingly Aiden English was nowhere to be seen. Lana, who was accompanying Rusev got involved in a brawl with Zelina Vega who was attending Almas. English tried to break the melee, but the damage had been done. Almas took advantage of the situation as he pinned Rusev down for the win, who was visibly distracted by the ringside brawl.
The episode also saw Becky Lynch defeat SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella and set up their Summerslam clash. SmackDown General Manager also revealed Samoa Joe as AJ Styles' Summerslam opponent during the dramatic contract signing that took place in the ring. Not just that, she also fired James Ellsworth, before signing off.
The build-up to WWE PPV SummerSlam was quite exciting as there were many exciting matches during the WWE weekly show. We take a look at the results of events that took place at SmackDown LIVE episode that took place on July 24.

The main event of the night saw The Miz and his wife Maryse, with their son Monroe Sky, out for another episode of MizTv. The Miz ran down Team Hell No (of Kane and Daniel Bryan) as he began his premiere party.
Both, The Miz and Maryse promoted their show ‘Miz and Mrs.’ which will be aired after the SmackDown LIVE episode. However, Daniel Bryan interrupts their premier show’s preview amidst massive applause from WWE universe. Bryan tried to apologise on the screen; however, he walked out to the ring to apologise in person. After taking out the security, Bryan enters the ring, as the crowd rallied in his support.

Shockingly, The Miz threw his son, Monroe Sky, towards Bryan who caught it cautiously. The baby thrown at Bryan turned out to be a baby doll, to everyone’s surprise. The Miz took advantage of the situation and hits his finishing move ‘Skull Crushing Finale’ as the crowd booed him. SmackDown LIVE goes off-air as The Miz and Maryse walk backstage after talking trash to the crowd.
