WWE Monday Night RAW Video Highlights: Kurt Angle, Roman Reigns And Stephanie McMahon Steal The Show!

The Monday Night RAW episode, on May 22, began with General Manager Kurt Angle hyping the show – prior RAW went live – on his Twitter account. Angle tweeted, “I will be kicking off Monday Night RAW tonight with some HUGE announcements. Don’t forget to tune in.” And just how he had said previously, Angle kicked off the show amidst huge fanfare from the crowd. The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Universe welcomed him to a huge pop.
Angle announces that he will be presiding over the contract signing, later tonight, of RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax & Ronda Rousey match. Before he could make another announcement, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon enters, drawing boos from the crowd. Superseding Angle’s authority, she reveals that she herself would be presiding over the contract signing, later tonight, of the match to take place at ‘Money In The Bank’ pay-per-view.
Stephanie also brought up Angle’s handling of Roman Reigns recently, and before she could venture out his frustration, entered the ‘The Big Dog’, to mixed reactions from the fans. And just as when Reigns and McMahon were involved in a verbal duel, entered Kevin Owens.

The opening segment went almost for an hour which saw Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens fight it out in the first match of the night. The gruelling first bout saw Jinder Mahal attack Reigns from behind, handing him a win by disqualification. Just as when they double-teamed to beat up Reigns, entered Seth Rollins to make a save. The match is turned into a Tag-team match with both Reigns and Rollins eventually emerging winners.

Sami Zayn and Bobby Lashley had a brief segment wherein the former ECW Champion eventually pummels the props (trying to mimic Lashley’s sisters) and Zayn, as they retreat to the locker room sooner than expected. Watch Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn segment on Monday Night RAW:

A slew of matches took place in the night which saw crowd cheering and rallying behind their respective WWE superstars in the ring. Another highlight of the night was the match between Chad Gable and Dolph Ziggler. The evenly poised match was eventually won by Dolph Ziggler.

To see someone with the physique of Balor pushing someone as monstrous as Strowman being pushed to the limits, was quite a sight in the night. The physically draining, energy bustling, and the high-profile contest saw both Balor & Strowman trying to gain an upper hand in the match. However, it was Strowman who over-powered Balor and pinned him in the middle of the ring for victory.
