Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella lost to The Miz and The Maryse, and it was quite a surprise for the fans. However, the thunder was yet to arrive at Hell in a Cell. It was the main event of the PPV which was the most memorable contest in the night.
The main event had Braun Strowman, and his sidekicks (Dolph Zigler and Drew McIntyre); Roman Reigns, and his sidekicks (Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose), and guest referee Mick Foley – everyone having a say in the match. However, after a lot of mumble jumble, the match seemed to be evenly poised.
However, it was Brock Lesnar, former Universal Champion, who had the last laugh in the match. The Beast, along with his manager Paul Heyman, interfered in the match and entered the Cell, with a single point agenda – to destroy both Strowman and Reigns.
Brock Lesnar first sprayed something in the eyes of Foley and then hit his finishing move ‘F5’ to both the superstars before retreating to the stage. A new referee enters the ring and ends the match calling it a no-contest. Hell in a Cell went off-air as both Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns were laid out in the ring.
