The fourth day of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games saw a lot of exciting contests take place amidst the snow-clad scenic mountains at PyeongChang. The weather conditions showed a little mercy and were quite pleasant throughout the day. The Day four of the event witnessed a lot of nail-biting contests at Winter Games as there were a couple of photo-finishes in the sports events.

In near-perfect weather conditions, the 17-year-old American, Chloe Kim became the second American to win a Gold medal in Women’s Snowboarding Halfpipe. A Californian to Korean parents, Kim delighted the judges as she scored an almost 98.25 in front of a cheering crowd. The Men’s Combined Alpine Skiing event was a treat to watch. Despite being at the twelfth position after the Downhill, Austria’s Marcel Hirscher stunning Slalom run saw him grab Olympic Gold medal. There was drama in the Men’s Sprint Classic event as it a saw a photo finish for the Silver medal. There were no doubting Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo’s (Norway) capabilities as he won the Gold medal. There were many other sports events – Cross-country Skiing, Luge, Mixed Doubles Curling, Speed Skating – that saw dramatic finishes as day four folded. The Winter Games are scheduled to end on February 25. With weather no longer playing a spoilsport, it will be a pleasant sight for both competitors and fans at the PyeongChang Winter Games 2018.
