The third day of Winter Olympic Games 2018 saw participants weathering windy conditions at Pyeongchang; the highlight of the day being Women’s Slopestyle event at Phoenix Snow Park. Another event, Team Figure Skating, saw Canada dominate the second day of the sport’s event. The teams competed in four disciplines as the Canadians won three out of them and stormed to victory to clinch another Gold medal. Olympics Athletes from Russia (OAR) stood second in the event as they won the Silver medal. The Biathlon event too witnessed the same weather issue. The freezing conditions at the park didn’t deter both, male and female competitors from participating in one of the most testing sports’ discipline. With a Gold in Sprint event already in her kitty, Laura Dahlmeier (Germany) went on to become the first woman ever to secure a Biathlon Double as she also won the Pursuit event.

In Men’s category, France’s Martin Fourcade became the only athlete to defend his title. After an impeccable shooting display, Fourcade beat his competitors to win another Gold medal, which also happens to be his fifth Olympic medal

Men’s Moguls Competition also saw a lot of ups and downs. World No. 1 Mikael Kingsbury (Canada) lived up to the favoritism tag and went on to add another Gold medal to his already sparkling medal memorabilia. Kingsbury is already an Olympic Silver Medal winner and a two-time World Champion.

Other notable events that saw participants win medals on Day 3 of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games were Speed Skating and Ski Jumping. All eyes were on Netherlands team to see if they were able to continue their dominance in Women’s 1500M. Ski Jumping event was again hampered by heavy snowfall.
