PGA tour player Lucas Glover was attacked by wife during the Players Championship, according to police reports. Krista Glover is facing a domestic battery and resisting arrest after a domestic violence charge stemming from an altercation with Glover and his mother after he missed the cut at the championship. Krista was arrested on Saturday night and taken to St. John’s County Jail in Florida. Although she was released the next day after paying 2,500 dollars in bonds, she faces court on May 31 on misdemeanour charges of domestic violence battery and resisting arrest without violence.
According to the offence report, Glover and his wife having an altercation after his poor play at the third round of the Players Championship (he shot 78). Lucas told deputies, ‘when he plays a bad round of golf, Krista proceeds to start an altercation with him and telling him how he is a loser and a p***y, how he needs to fire everyone and how he’d better win, or she and the kids would leave him, and he would never see the kids again.’
The report also stated that when Lucas’ mother Hershey Grover tried to intervene, Krista began attacking her. The arresting officer noticed cuts and blood on the arms and clothing of Glover’s mother, who told the officer she had been hit in the chest.

Police officials also noted in the report that Krista resisted being placed in the back seat of a patrol car and damaged the door by repeatedly kicking it. During the transportation process, the report states Krista’s handcuffs were loosened, and she attempted to flee. Two officers were able to re-handcuff her.
Lucas informed the officers that Krista had been drinking and the altercation allegedly occurred in front of their children. Glover who won the 2009 US Open married Krista in 2012. He has two children with his wife, five-year-old daughter and two-year-old son.
