‘India’s Golden Boy’ Neeraj Chopra reached yet another final of the Men’s Javelin throw event, this time at the Paris Olympics 2024. The star athlete from the country delivered India’s first gold medal in the track and field events and is on the verge of repeating the feat. Since his ‘iconic’ throw exactly three years ago (he won the gold medal on August 7, 2021), the star went on to win the regional final (in 2022) and the World final (in 2023). Team India currently stands below 50th position with three bronze medals in the medals tally and Neeraj’s Gold Medal win would be a massive boost for India’s ranking. But 11 other competitors would challenge the Indian star for the top-place finish in the Men’s Javelin Throw final at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
