WI Win by 13 Runs | West Indies vs New Zealand Highlights of ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Sherfane Rutherford, Alzarri Joseph, Gudakesh Motie Help Windies Qualify for Super Eight Stage

West Indies are now through to the Super Eight stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Sherfane Rutherford batted really well and took the Windies to a fighting total. Alzarri Joseph came up with a four-wicket haul and Gudakesh Motie scalped three wickets which rattled the New Zealand batting order.

Even after Mitchell Santner gave it all in the end, it was not enough for the Black Caps and they have now been rewarded with the second straight defeat in the T20 World Cup 2024. Alzarri Joseph came up with a four-wicket haul and Gudakesh Motie took a three-wicket haul which was more than enough for the Windies as they now have booked a spot in the Super Eight stage.

Mitchell Santner was smashed for 18 runs in the last over. This helped the West Indies reach a fighting total. Sherfane Rutherford came up with a powerpack performance in the last couple of overs and now it will be interesting to see how New Zealand will do in the chase.

FIFTY! Sherfane Rutherford has now completed his second half-century in T20Is. Rutherford smashed Daryl Mitchell for 19 runs in the over where he hit three sixes.
