In Asian Wrestling Championships 2013 held at New Delhi, Vinesh Phogat defeated Tho-Kaew Sriprapa of Thailand to bag bronze in women's freestyle 52 kg category.
Commonwealth Wrestling Championships 2013- Silver
Vinesh bagged a silver medal same year in Commonwealth Wrestling Championships held at Johannesburg, South Africa in women's freestyle 51 kg category
CommonWealth Games 2014 - Gold
The young Wrestler outclassed Yana Rattigan of England in the final to bag a gold medal, this time in 48 kg category.
Asian Games 2014- Bronze
Again showing her might in 48 kg category in the year 2014, the Indian wrestler bagged a bronze medal.
Asian Championships 2015- Silver
After losing the final to Yuki Irie of Japan, Vinesh managed for Silver in Asian Games 2015.
Asian Championships 2016- Bronze
During Asian Championships 2016 held in Bangkok, Thailand, Vinesh won bronze medal in 53 kg category.
Asian Championships 2017 – Silver
The Indian sportswoman sealed silver medal in Asian Championships 2017 at home soil in New Delhi.
CommonWealth Games 2018- Gold
The back-to-back gold medals for arrived for Vinesh in CommonWealth Games, with another top performance under 50 kg category in CommonWealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast, Australia.
Asian Games 2018- Gold
This was a historic moment for India as Vinesh Phogat created history by becoming the first Indian woman to clinch a gold medal at Asian Games in Jakarta. Japanese Wrestlers Yuki Irie was her opponent in the final.
Asian Wrestling Championship 2018- Silver
Vinesh bagged silver in Women’s 50 kg category in 2018 Asian Wrestling Championships.
Asian Wrestling Championships 2019 – Bronze
Defeating wrestler Qianyu Pang of China, Vinesh sealed bronze in the event in China in 53 kg category.
Yasar Dogu International 2019 - Gold
Outclassing Russia’s Ekaterina Poleshchuk, Vinesh bagged gold in the event.
Poland Open Wrestling Tournament 2019- Gold
This was Vinesh’s third consecutive gold in women’s 53 kg after winning Poland Open in 2019.
With these achievements, Vinesh has really made India and herself proud. She also participated in Rio Olympics 2016, missing a medal after reaching the quarter-finals. She lost to Sun Yanan of China owing to a knee injury in the quarters-round. The triumphs have also brought major honours for the Indian wrestler. Vinesh Phogat was awarded Arjuna Award in 2016 and was a nominee for Padma Shri in 2018. In February 2019, she became the first Indian to be nominated for Laureus World Sports Awards.
