After opting to bat first, Pakistan put 308/7 on the scoreboard after 50 overs. Haris Sohail played a quick knock of 89 off 59 balls batting at number four, and was very well supported by openers Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman, who scored 44 runs each. Number three Babar Azam also played a crucial role with is 69-run innings. While bowling, Wahab Riaz and Shadab Khan’s three wickets each ensured a comfortable win for the Asian team, with Mohammad Amir picking two dismissals to his name.
Pakistan, who has five points from six matches are at the 7th position on the points table at present. They will next play New Zealand at Edgbaston, Birmingham on June 26.
