Ballboy and girl duties can often be difficult for the kids who are always running helter-skelter to fetch the balls. At times they are even at the risk of accidentally getting hurt by the players. One such incident happened at the ongoing Wimbledon 2018. The Australian tennis ace Nick Kyrgios who has often grabbed headlines for his bad boy image unveiled the gentler side of his personality when he consoled and injured ball girl in the middle of the game. So here’s what happened when Nick played his first-round match against Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin.  The Australian’s serve accidentally hit the ball girl’s arm who was standing in the opposite direction.

The speed of the serve was clocked 217-Kmph and it was quite obvious that the ball hit her hard. The girl immediately broke into tears. Istomin and Kyrgios rushed to help her at once and asked the officials to take her away. She was then given immediate medical assistance. Check out the video below.

After the match, Kyrgios spoke about the incident and said, “It was tough. Originally when I heard the sound, I thought it hit the scoreboard. Then I realised it was her arm. It was tough. She started crying. She took it like a champ, though. I would have been crying, for sure.”

Not very long ago during the French Open 2018, Bosnian tennis ace Damir Dzumhur collided with a ball boy. The player rushed to check if he was okay and the clip of the same went viral.
