The Swiss maestro won the match 6-3, 7-5, 6-2. The match between the three time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic and Canada's Milos Raonic had to be suspended due to darkness and weather issues.

Seven-times Wimbledon winner, Serena Williams won her encounter against France's Kristina Mladenovic 7-5 7-6(2). Karolina Pliskova was a set down in her clash with Romania’s Mihaela Buzarnescu but came back in the match to beat her 3-6 7-6(3) 6-1.
