The quarter-final contest between the no. 1 seed Roger Federer and the eight seed Kevin Anderson produced some surreal tennis as Anderson came back from 2 sets down to win the game in the final set to win the match by 2-6, 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-4, 13-11.
The second semi-final clash was another classic as Rafael Nadal reached the semi-final of Wimbledon for the first time since 2011. The Spaniard, who had to battle off a determined Juan Martin del Potro, played some of his best tennis on grass to win the match by 7-5 6-7 (7-9) 4-6 6-4 6-4. Two-time champion Rafael Nadal will next face former World No.1 Novak Djokovic for a place in the finals. Novak Djokovic won his contest against Kei Nishikori on Thursday and looks set for greater things ahead in the tournament.
Today it is time for Women's Singles semi-finals where seven-time champion Serena Williams will face Germany's J. Gorges for making it to yet another final. There are no Men's Singles matches today.
