Roger Federer advanced into the third three of the US Open 2019. However, for the first time in his career, Federer has tasted defeats in the first set for the two consecutive times. Even during the last match against India’s Sumit Nagal, Federer lost the first set. After the match, Federer said, “I have been in that position many times where you go through a little phase where you don’t start so well and everybody asks you right away, ‘What are you going to do?’,” he told reporters. Federer will surely look to have a better start as he faces either Lucas Pouille or Dan Evans for a place in the round of 16.
