A lot of time we feel that celebrities and sports people can tweak rules and get away with it at their convenience. But that’s not the case at the Australian Open 2019. That’s what can be said at least after what tennis ace Roger Federer faced during the tournament. So the 20 time- Grand Slam winner had forgotten his accreditation pass but and was denied entry into the locker room. So here’s what happened. Federer was returning to his locker room and had to get access to the locker room. The 37-year-old was not carrying his ID card and was made stopped by the official, who asked him for the same. Federer did not carry the card and patiently waited for his team to arrive. It was Federer’s coach Ivan Ljubicic who got him the card and the tennis ace was then allowed to walk inside the dressing room. This is however not the first time that a tennis player is asked to produce a valid id card. Prior to this Maria Sharapova was obstructed by the officials and was asked for the same. Talking about Federer, he will soon play against Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Rod Laver Arena in the Round of 16.
