Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal, who celebrated his 33rd birthday on June 3, Monday, thanked all his fans for their warm wishes on an auspicious day. Nadal celebrated his birthday by defeating Juan Ignacio Londero of Argentina 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 in the round-of-16 clash to reach quarter-finals of the French Open. Nadal, who is chasing his 12th French Open title at Roland Garros, was wished by countless fans on the various social media channels. Among those was Nadal’s close friend and former Real Madrid and Spain captain Iker Casillas. Nadal will face Kei Nishikori of Japan in the quarter-finals on June 5, Tuesday. He won his first French Open title in 2005 at the age of 19 and is chasing his 12th title in the competition. The 17-time Grand Slam champion is considered one of the best ever Tennis players of the open era.
