World no.2 tennis star Novak Djokovic greeted his fans after his first-round victory in the ongoing Nitto ATP Finals 2019 (ATP World Tour Finals 2019). The Serbian tennis legend made an astonishing start to the tournament with his straight-set wins against Matteo Berrettini. Djokovic crushed Berrettini 6-2, 6-1 to win the match. The Nitto ATP Finals 2019 will decide the final rankings of tennis players and hence is a crucial tennis tournament. Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are the top contenders to top ATP rankings in men’s singles. Roger Federer will be playing against Dominic Thiem on Monday. Daniil Medvedev will take on Stefanos Tsitsipas in another tie. Rafael Nadal will be starting his journey in Nitto ATP Finals 2019 on Tuesday.

Djokovic is currently placed on the 2nd rank in ATP rankings for men’s singles. With 8945 points, he follows Rafael Nadal, who is on the top position with 9585 points. Novak Djokovic won Paris Masters 2019 title after defeating Denis Shapovalov in the final 6-3, 6-4. In Shanghai Masters 2019, he was knocked out in the quarter-final after losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas. Earlier in Japan Open 2019, he won the final after winning final against John Millman in straight sets.
