Tejaswini Sawant continues her love for medals in Commonwealth Games 2018 on day 10. After winning a silver medal in Women's 50m Rifle Prone Finals event on Thursday, the 37-year-old had shot the gold medal in Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions category. Anjum Moudgil ranked behind Tejaswini in the shooting discipline to claim the silver medal for India as well. With the addition of two medals early on, India’s medal tally in CWG 2018 moves to 33 including 15 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze. They also maintain their third place in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games medal table and team standings behind Australia and England.
The shooter from Kolhapur shot a total of 457.9 points in Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions Finals, that also happened to be new games record (GR). Meanwhile, Anjum Moudgil ended with 455.7 points to take the second place and silver medal. Seonaid Mcintosh of Scotland shot a total of 444.6 points to bag the bronze medal. Surprisingly, Martina Lindsay Veloso ended at the fourth place with 432.3 points. Martina had topped Women's 50m Rifle Prone Finals discipline on day nine of CWG 2018 grabbing the gold. She had outshone Tejaswini Sawant to push her to second place standings.

India’s medal count in shooting now stands at 14 including 5 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze. They have contributed a maximum number of medals for India with weightlifting team at the second place with nine medals.
