India rose to supremacy in South Asian Games 2019 on Day 8 with eight more medals in various sports. Till evening of Sunday (December 8), India won multiple medals in shooting, fencing, athletics and handball to rise to new heights in South Asian Games 2019 medals tally. India ended the Day 7 in South Asian Games 2019 with 214 total medals. At excellent performances by India sportsmen in the above mentioned four sports, India rose to a total of 222 medals on Day 8 of SA Games. After the end of Day 7 in the 13th edition of South Asian Games 2019, India had 214 medals with 110 gold, 69 silver and 35 bronze. Nepal, the hosts of SA Games 2019, was leading the medals tally at the start but India overtook them soon. Sri Lanka hold the third position with 177 total medals. Pakistan is on the way to reach a century of medals with 94 as of evening on December 8 (Sunday), the Day 8 of South Asian Games 2019.
