The 13th edition of South Asian Games has been off to a brilliant start as all the competing nations are giving their all in each and every game. India are having a brilliant tournament as they completed 50 medals in the multi-sport competition taking place in Nepal. India clinched gold in Badminton and Tennis on Day 4 to cross the 50-medal landmark. They became the third nation to reach the 50-medal mark after hosts Nepal and neighbours Sri Lanka. The Indian contingent was dominant on Day 4 across various sports as they clinched as many as 19 gold medals. The men and women’s teams in Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis and Kho Kho were al fantastic in their events as they added seven gold medals to India’s tally. The Badminton players from India were once again commanding on the court as four singles players and four double pairs have made it into the semi-finals and are favoured to add few more gold medals to India’s tally. The 13th edition pod the South Asian Games started on 1st December and will be played till 10th December. The competition is taking place at Kathmandu and Pokhara city of Nepal in which seven countries are taking part in 28 different sports. India have the most part in the tournament history and will be looking to add to that.
