For a few days now, ex-manager of Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson was in the intensive care due to a brain haemorrhage. He underwent an emergency surgery. But now the legendary manager is out of danger and is recovering well. The official page of Manchester United shared the news with the fans on social media.
The team shared a picture of the former manager and captioned the snap, “Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient. His family have been overwhelmed by the level of support and good wishes but continue to request privacy as this will be vital during this next stage of recovery.”
Reportedly, immediately after waking up from the surgery, the first thing Sir Alex Ferguson asked was about the result of Doncaster Rovers F.C. He is said to have asked his family: "So, how did Doncaster get on?”
Back then when the news of his surgery broke out, Manchester United issued a statement which read, “Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimise his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter.” The club later added, "We will keep Sir Alex and his loved ones in our thoughts during this time, and we are united in our wish to see him make a comfortable, speedy recovery."
Even Cristiano Ronaldo wished him a speedy recovery. In fact, Cristiano even admitted that he did not celebrate the goal against Barcelona during the El Clasico because his former mentor was hospitalized. But now, this news must have sent a wave of joy amongst the football fans.
