On Tuesday, 16-year-old Saurabh Chaudhary had bagged the gold medal in the Men's 10 metre Air Pistol final in the 2018 Asian Games.

The young lad finished second in Men’s Double Trap shooting event to clinch a silver medal. He had earlier topped the qualification stage to make to the gold medal match, however, in the finals it was Hyunwoo Shin of South Korea who bagged the gold medal. It has been a great run for the shooter from Meerut as he took on the more experienced shooters from Asia at the prestigious multi-sports event. In the qualification stage, Shardul left everyone surprised with his focus as he topped the list of final six shooters competing for top-podium finish. In the finals, Vihan was neck to neck with Shin for the gold medal but in the end lost it by one point. Shardul earned 73 points compared to Shin’s 74 points. On Tuesday, 16-year-old Saurabh Chaudhary had bagged the gold medal in the Men's 10 metre Air Pistol final in the 2018 Asian Games. He clinched the gold after producing an Asian Games record score of 240.7. It was India's third gold medal at the ongoing Games, before shooter Rahi Sanorbat added another medal in women's 25m air pistol on Wednesday.
Earlier, on day 5 of Asian Games, India has managed a single bronze medal, which was assured by tennis player Ankita Raina in women’s singles match. The 25-year-old failed to advance to the finals losing her semi-finals match Zhang Shuai of China in straight sets 6-4, 7-6, thus ending her singles campaign.
