Teenage Indian shooting sensation Saurabh Chaudhary wins the gold medal in 10m Air Pistol Event in the ongoing ISSF World Cup 2019 held in Munich. The 17-year-old broke his own world record (WR) of 245.0 by clinching 246.3 points in the final to take the top podium finish. On Sunday, Apurvi Chandela won the gold in women's 10m air rifle at the ISSF World Cup in Munich. The 26-year-old shot 251 points in the final to pip China's Luyao Wang's score of 250.8. The 2019 ISSF World Cup is the annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic shooting events, governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. The World Cup series will be also as the qualification tournaments for the 2020 Olympic Games. So far, 2019 ISSF World Cup editions have been held in New Delhi, Beijing and Munich. The next stop is Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. ISSF World Cup Munich is scheduled to take place between May 24 to May 31.
Earlier this year in February 2019, Chaudhary won the gold medal at 2019 ISSF World Cup in Delhi. He had also bagged gold medals in the Mixed Team 10m pistol with Manu Bhaker at 2019 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi and Beijing. Saurav had a phenomenal run previous year when he won the gold medal in Asian Games, Youth Olympic Games and Asian Airgun Championship.
