The ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his 45th birthday on Tuesday. Born on April 24, 1973, Tendulkar is synonymous to the game itself in the sporting world. His birthday is no less than a festival for ardent Tendulkar fans in a cricket-frenzy country like ours. The birthday boy is likely to be on cake-cutting spree on the special day with the pictures from the first celebrations are out. Sachin Tendulkar along with his wife Anjali, former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke, Indian cricket coach Ravi Ravi Shastri among others during the book launch of Boria Majumdar’s Eleven Gods and a Billion Indians. Sachin was pictured cutting a cute birthday cake with a small mannequin resembling the cricketer mounted on top of it. Sachin Tendulkar had a perfect surprise birthday party moment when a ridiculously cute cake was brought in before him at the book launch. The cake was modelled after a cricket stadium with luscious green cover and pictures of Tendulkar adorning it from all sides. But the biggest highlight of the cake was the little Sachin Tendulkar mannequin recreating original champion’s celebration style every time he smashed a century. From looking above to the sky, remembering his late father and thanking god to holding his helmet and bat in two hands, the little statue reminds of Sachin from the playing days.

Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar were present at the Mumbai launch of Boria Majumdar's book 'Eleven Gods and a Billion Indians'. The event saw Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, Michael Clarke, Ravi Shastri, socialite Suhel Seth participating in a long conversation on the current scenario of Indian cricket at the global platform. They discussed about Team India’s current form that according to Sharma made them red-hot favourites to lift the ICC World Twenty20 Cup 2019. Even World Cup winning captain, former Aussie player Michael Clarke admitted his love for India’s brand of cricket.
