No sooner Sindhu won the medal, congratulatory messages from all over India started pouring in as they wished her for the feat. Now, after coming back to India, the ace shuttler met the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi who shared a picture of their meeting on his social media handle. PV Sindhu defeated Nozomi Okuhara by 21-7, 21-7 broke the jinx by clinching the gold medal.
After winning the medal, the shuttler arrived in New Delhi last night. Needless to say that she received a very warm welcome by the fans and the media who had gathered in huge numbers to get a glimpse of the Sindhu. Back then, the Indian Prime Minister had congratulated Sindhu on social media.
