Kochi and Chennai are the host cities of Pro Volleyball League 2019. The volleyball league opens with the first leg in Kochi at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium till February 13 and then the tournament will move to Chennai at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for its second and last leg, including the semi-finals and final.
Ahmedabad Defenders, Black Hawks Hyderabad, Calicut Heroes, Kochi Blue Spikers, U Mumba Volley, and Chennai Spartans are the names of the franchises that will take part in the first edition of Pro Volleyball League. As far as the format of Pro Volleyball League 2019 league is concerned, the teams will face each other in the round-robin style. Top four teams will advance to semifinal and two teams from there will face-off in the final. In the round-robin stage of the league, matches will have five sets of 15 points each. In semis and final each set will have 25 points.
