Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is having a time of his life. Just two days after winning the Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season accolades, the 25-year old scored his record-breaking 32nd goal of the Premier League season against Brighton. He scored his 32nd goal from 38-games and has surpassed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Saurez. With this, he even received a Golden Boot.
His goal came in in the 26th minute of the match after the forward ran on a pass from Dominic Solanke. With this, he is three goals ahead of Tottenham Spur's Harry Kane. Liverpool won the game against Brighton by 4-0. Earlier today Salah walked away being the Premier League's Player of the Season. "They say I didn't have success here the first time. So it was always in my mind to have success here in the Premier League. I am very happy. I am very proud to win it," said Salah.
Just a couple of days ago when he won the award from the Football Writers' Association Footballer, Salah cleared the air about his transfer to Real Madrid. He said, "I'm very happy here, I'm very happy and everything is fine. We have two games now starting with a game on Sunday. It's a very important game and then the Champions League final but I'm very happy here. Of course I have got ambitions for the future with Liverpool. As you can see we had a great season and now we are in the Champions League final and everyone is excited.”
"This is just the start. This is my first year here and it is the same for some other players. I didn't watch all the games last season of the team but this year we have had an unbelievable year. We are very comfortable about playing in the Champions League next season. On the way to the final we beat top teams like Manchester City and Roma. It is just the beginning for this team,” he said on a concluding note.
