The Indian men's hockey team bagged the bronze medal for a second consecutive time at the Olympic Games when they beat Spain 2-1, riding on two goals from Harmanpreet Singh. Later in the day, Neeraj Chopra won the country's first silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 when he came up with an effort of 89.45m in the men's javelin throw event. Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in the men's javelin throw with his second effort that went for 89.45m. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem has taken the gold with his 92.97m throw. Grenada's Anderson Peters settled for the bronze medal. Neeraj might not have won the gold medal, but this win has made him among those who secured podium finishes in back-to-back Olympics. Nadeem also registered a throw of 91.79m in his last attempt, making him the first to do so in an Olympic final. Neeraj had one legitimate attempt (his second throw of 89.45m) with all the others being fouls.
Another foul for Neeraj Chopra and he is livid with himself. He has now had four fouls in five attempts and has just one chance to eclipse Arshad Nadeem.
