After ten days of action at the Pars Olympics 2024, India will look for medals in athletics, wrestling, hockey, and table tennis. While players in sprints are still in contention the competition is tough and will have to dig deep for the medal. What a day it has been for the Indian contingent at the Paris Olympics 2024! After quite a few days without any medal, we finally have an assurance of a fourth as Vinesh Phogat gets set to compete in the women's wrestling 50kg final. The ace wrestler produced a series of superb performances, one of those which came against Tokyo Olympic gold medal winner Yui Susaki to become the first Indian woman to enter the final of a wrestling event at the Olympic Games. With a silver already assured, Phogat is now just one win away from scripting history and becoming the first Indian wrestler to win an Olympic gold medal. Neeraj Chopra also gave the assurance that he is here for a second consecutive gold medal when he topped the charts in the men's javelin throw qualification round with a massive throw of 89.34m. Unfortunately, the Indian men's table tennis bowed out of the round of 16 with a loss to China and later, the men's hockey team lost their semifinal match against Germany. There's a lot of action to look forward to on August 7 which includes Vinesh Phogat, Mirabai Chanu and Avinash Sable among a long list of others to watch out for. Not the best of results for India as India Men's Hockey team falls short of entering the final. They lose to Germany 3-2 and with it their journey in the Paris Olympics 2024 comes to an end. They will play against Spain in the bronze medal decider match on August 8, Thursday.
Finally! After so many near misses, India have finally found their way to the 4th medal as Vinesh Phogat once again stands tall against her Cuban opposition Guzman Lopez in the semifinal and defeats her 5-0 to secure her place into the final. With it she also ensures a medal for India which will be either a silver or a gold.
Vinesh Phogat shows incredible resilience even in his second game in the Women's Freestyle 50 Kg category quarterfinal as she defeats Ukraine's Oksana Livach to make her place in the semifinal. Vinesh will now get two chances at the medal.
With an 89.34 M throw, Neeraj Chopra qualifies for the final at the Men's Javelin Throw event. This is his season-best throw and close to his personal best 89.91 M throw.
Indian sprinter Kiran Pahal is in action now for the Women's 400 M Repechage Heat 1. She did excellent in the qualification round. Can she advance to the final round?
Kishore Jena registered an 80.73 M throw but it wasn't enough as he finished ninth in Pool A. Medal contender Julian Weber topped Pool A with an 87.76 M throw.
Indian Men's Tennis Team lost their doubles and singles match handing China a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series. They need to win all next matches to stay in the competition.
India's Men's Table Tennis Team - Harmeet Desai, Manav Thakkar and Sarath Kamal will be in action in a while. They will play against China in the round of 16 team events.
After top-notch performances in athletics, Team USA retains the top position from the earlier day. Team China is not far behind. But Team India drops to 60th position. Sadly, there is no medal event today for Team India.

Day 10 of the Paris Olympics 2024 will feature athletes such as Neeraj Chopra, Kishor Jenna, Vinesh Phogat and Men’s Hockey team. Winning the match against Germany will guarantee a medal for the hockey team while other athletes will look to secure their place in the final round.
