It has been a day of highs and lows for the Indian contingent. Lakshya Sen came agonisingly close to winning a bronze medal for India and becoming the first Indian male shuttler to do so at the Olympics but was denied by Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia. Sen did a commendable job in his debut Olympics campaign but could not make it to the podium. Viktor Axelsen, who beat Sen in the semis, went on to win the gold medal for a second consecutive time at the Olympics. In wrestling, an injured Nisha Dahiya fought against her injury and opponent Sol Gum Pak in wrestling 66kg quarterfinal. The team of Maheshwari Chauhan and Anant Jeet Naruka failed to win the bronze medal by the barest of margins. India's campaign in sailing also came to an end. But there some positive points of the day too. The Indian women's table tennis team made it to the quarterfinals with a win over Romania. Late in the day, Avinash Sable scripted history by becoming the first Indian to enter the final of men's 3000m steeplechase event at the Olympics. Avinash Sable, who is the national record holder, qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024 Men's 3000 M Steeplechase finals as he finished 5th in his Round 1 heat. Sable clocked a timing of 8:15.43s (PB: 8:09.91).

The Men's and Women's Dinghy races have finally come to and end. Nethra Kumanan finished 21st with 155 net points. While Vishnu Saravanan finished 18th with 114 net points.

Oh! Heartbreak for India. Nisha Dahiya was leading 8-1 against her North Korean opposition in the quarterfinal and then she suffers a hand injury. She tried her level best to return with treatment but it was not to be as she couldn't perform from there and lost 10-8.

Nisha Dahiya wins her opening match against Tetiana Rizhko in the round of 16 and qualifies for quarterfinal. She secured 2 points right at the very end to secure a fantastic win.

Another heartbreak for India! Despite coming agonizingly close to the medal, Skeet shooters Anantjeet Singh Naruka, Maheshwari Chauhan missed out on Bronze medal in the mixed skeet shooting shotgun event as they lose to China in the third-place decider.

The Skeet Mixed team of Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Maheshwari Chauhan advance to the Bronze medal match of shotgun event following a superb performance with a score of 146/150. They bronze medal match will be played from 6:30 PM IST.

After entertaining nine days at the Paris Olympics 2024, fans will witness more action on the tenth day with football, athletics, table tennis, badminton, Archery, Sailing, and other major sports advancing toward the concluding stages. India will also have a shot at a medal with star shuttler Lakshya Sen playing in a bronze medal match.
