Smackdown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon introduced Paige as the newest General Manager of the blue brand of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in its latest episode, on April 10. Paige’s appointment as Smackdown LIVE’s General Manager came after Daniel Bryan resigned from that job, after returning as a full-time wrestler at Wrestlemania 34.
Smackdown’s latest episode, on April 10, began with Shane McMahon addressing the WWE Universe after a win at Wrestlemania. Shane said that since Daniel has crossed back to be a full-time performer and WWE Superstar, he has accepted his resignation. Fans let out a huge pop when Daniel’s name was mentioned.
It is then when Shane introduces Paige as Smackdown LIVE’s newest General Manager. The WWE fans went crazy again started chanting ‘this is your house now’ after Shane made the announcement.

In her first, Paige asked the fans if they wanted to see Daniel Bryan in action. The crowds began a loud ‘Yes’ chant now. She makes it official by announcing AJ Styles as his opponent for the main event of the show.

Only a night after she announced her retirement on Monday Night RAW, Paige was hired as Smackdown LIVE’s General Manager. Known as the land of opportunity, the blue brand in the WWE has often given young talents an opportunity to showcase their mettle on the show.
