But Tyson’s life was sour as sweet it came. In 1991, he was convicted to six-years of imprisonment for the rape of a teenage girl. It was also heavily speculated at around that time that Tyson was addicted to drugs. Tyson admitted to the offence and was sentenced to jail in 1992. But he was released in March 1995 after serving less than three years of his six-year sentence. It was also around this time that Tyson converted to Islam and changed his name to Malik Abdul Aziz.
