Michael Schumacher, born on January 3, 1969, will be celebrating his 50th birthday this year! Widely regarded as the greatest of all times, Schumacher has been the most successful driver in the history of the sport. As the celebrated driver turns 50 today, people across the globe paid rich tributes to the retired Formula1 Racing driver on social media platforms!
Schumacher experienced a life-threatening injury, after he was involved in a skiing accident in 2013. The F1 driver had suffered a traumatic brain injury and was in the medical-induced coma for six months. He was later shifted to his home where he has been receiving medical treatment and rehabilitation program privately. Since the tragic accident, Schumacher hasn’t been able to make any public appearance. Schumacher’s family released a statement on his 50th birthday. The statement read, “You can be sure that he is in the very best of hands and that we are doing everything humanly possible to help him. Please understand if we are following Michael’s wishes and keeping such a sensitive subject as health, as it has always been, in privacy.”
