Mumbai, October 26: Renowned sportspersons like Mary Kom, Saina Nehwal, Manika Batra, PV Sindhu and Arjuna award winner Pooja Dhanda were trolled on Twitter today, on Saturday, for allegedly tweeting the same message. The tweet now going viral hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to empower women in the country. "I thank @narendramodi for his initiative to honour and empower women this Diwali. Acknowledgment motivates us to work harder and make India proud. #bharatkilaxmi. @KirenRijiju @PMOIndia," tweeted the sportspersons. However, it was the tweet from Pooja Dhanda that gave it away. The wrestler's tweet contained the word "Text" at the beginning of the tweet, which made it clear that the message was copy pasted.

"Such senior sports-persons copy-pasting stuff which they've been asked to tweet by the PMO. The person at the top forgot to remove the "Text: " bit which was to be stripped off before tweeting rest of the text," tweeted Pratik Sinha of Alt News. Several other users also shared screenshots of the sportspersons tweeting the same message.
