Manu Bhaker Wins Gold Medal in 10m Air Pistol Event at 2018 Youth Olympic Games
The 16-year-old from Jhajjar, Haryana sprung into the limelight after she became the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup.
Indian shooter Manu Bhaker has won gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol event at at 2018 Youth Olympic Games. This is India's second gold medal. India has so far won 5 medals overall in the Youth Olympics. The young shooter has had a fantastic year so far. The 16-year-old from Jhajjar, Haryana sprung into the limelight after she became the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup. She won two gold medals in the 2018 ISSF World Cup held in Guadalajara, Mexico. Manu continued her winning run at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
It was her maiden CWG appearance, and Manu Bhaker bagged the gold medal in 10m air pistol event getting better off fellow Indian Heena Sidhu who had to be content with silver. However, Manu failed to win a single medal at the Asian Games, but has made amends by winning a gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
