Oh no! It never seemed like coming. The umpires went out for a second inspection and just after a quick look they didn't even bother to wait any longer and declared the India vs Canada match abandoned without a ball being bowled. Heartbreaking for the audience in attendance and also for fans around the world. Hopefully the ground will be ready for the last Group A match between Pakistan and Ireland on Sunday.
Not encouraging signs are coming out from the ground. Covers are in place. Although they are for precautionary reasons, there has been already a slight shower around the ground. Players are showing no signs of warm up yet and fans are likely facing a long wait. Next inspection at 9:00 PM IST.
Covers on in Lauderhill once again. More for precautionary reasons. It was drizzling before but has stopped. Still no sign of a toss happening any time sign. We're on course for another delayed start between India and Canada. pic.twitter.com/vHd68aEBw1— Peter Della Penna (@PeterDellaPenna) June 15, 2024
The toss has been delayed and the fans can't sit relaxed considering the outfield will be prepared quickly and the match will gave a revised start time. It is because dark clouds are hovering around the Central Broward Park Stadium in Lauderhill. Even a short spell of rain here will make it extremely difficult for the match to start.

After USA vs Ireland, the Group A clash between India vs Canada also could be washed out due to possible rain in Florida. Although the result of an washout will not have any effect on either teams, it would definitely disappoint the fans who are waiting to see their favourite team in action.
