Suresh Raina scored a brilliant half-century (56*) in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy clash against Punjab. The 34-year-old was the leading scorer for his team in the game but it wasn't enough to get his team over the line as Uttar Pradesh suffered defeat by 11 runs in their first game in the competition.

Cricket Australia have issued a statement on the racial abuse faced by some of the Indian players during the IND vs AUS third Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. "Cricket Australia has reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy towards discriminatory behaviour in all forms following the alleged racial abuse of members of the Indian cricket squad by a section of the crowd at the SCG yesterday," the CA said in a statement.

Indian pacers Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah reportedly faced racial abuse on Day 3 of the Test match and Siraj faced the same on Day 4 as well.
