After the Test debacle in England, the Indians made a massive comeback at the Saurashtra Cricket Association, Rajkot against West Indies. The Indians crushed the West Indies by innings and 272 runs and thus registered the biggest victory in their 100th Test match. The team delivered an all-around performance. With the blistering performances of Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep, Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, each of these players witnessed an increase in their ICC Test Rankings.
India cricket captain Virat Kohli remained on the number one spot after his 24th century. Ravindra Jadeja who made his maiden 100 in the Test match rose up to number two spot of Test All-Rounder Rankings. He is now featured on number 2 and has 417 points in his kitty. He is just three points away to equal Shakib Al Hasan who has 420 points. Jadeja also jumped six higher and is now on number 51 in terms of Test batsmen. Ravichandran Ashwin is on number 5 with 340 points in the list of all-rounders.
Kuldeep Yadav after getting six wickets in the first Test match, jumped 16 places higher and now is on number 52 of the ICC Test Rankings. Prithvi Shaw, who made a maiden century in his debut and shattered several records in the first test match in Rajkot, also entered in the list of ICC Test Rankings and is now on number 73 with 419 points. Usman Khawaja who scripted a heroic draw against Pakistan in Dubai by scoring 141 runs also entered the Top 10 of the ICC Test Rankings. Khwaja is now on number 10 with 719 points. Cheteshwar Pujara is on number 6 with 782 points.
