In the decisive eliminator 2 clash at the Pro Kabaddi League 2024, Patna Pirates demonstrated their championship pedigree with a convincing 31-23 win over U Mumba. Pirates will clash against Dabang Delhi in semifinals 2.

Bhavani Rajput stole the show to take UP Yoddhas into the semifinals of Pro Kabaddi League 2024 with a thumping 46-18 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers here on Thursday. UP Yoddhas will now face Haryana Steelers in semifinal 1 on Friday.

UP Yoddhas will play Jaipur Pink Panthers, while Patna Pirates will be up against U Mumbai in the eliminators of the Pro Kabaddi League here on Thursday.

The 11th edition of the popular Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is underway, with the first leg happening in Hyderabad. Fans can find the updated PKL 2024-25 Points Table below.

U Mumba, who last made the Playoffs in Season 7, picked up the pace from the get-go in the second half, as Amirmohammad Zafardanesh started things off with a three-point lead. U Mumba were marching on towards the fifth spot on the points table.

The second half saw a dramatic swing in momentum as UP Yoddhas took control of the match, building a commanding 44-30 lead by the end. The turning point came around the 31-minute mark when the Yoddhas inflicted another All Out on the Bulls, establishing a crucial 6-point lead.

With the likes of Ajay Thakur, Pardeep Narwal, Anup Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Maninder Singh, Sachin Tanwar and other legendary players taking part, the fans can look forward to an electrifying encounter that transcends borders. PKL, League Commissioner, Anupam Goswami said that PKL Melbourne Raid signifies kabaddi's growing global appeal.

A slow start to the second half saw the defensives calling the shots as Amir Hossein Bastami and Himanshu made their presence felt on both ends of the floor, helping Tamil Thalaivas find some momentum. However, Aryavardhan Navale completed his Super 10 to keep a 13-point lead intact for Puneri Paltan.

However, Dabang Delhi KC staged a remarkable comeback later in the half. The turning point came with Ashu Malik's Super Raid, where he scored four crucial points. Gujarat's unsuccessful review challenging a boundary line decision further boosted Delhi's momentum.

The second half opened with Himanshu's raid, but Pardeep Narwal quickly equalised with a two-point raid. Sai Prasad restored Tamil Thalaivas' lead with a couple of successful raids, supported by Abhishek Manokaran's effective defence. A tackle by Aashish extended their advantage to four points.

Mohammadreza Shadloui successfully defended against Rohit Raghav, and the team inflicted another all-out when Manjeet was caught by Rahul Sethpal and the Haryana Steelers' defence. The match remains firmly in control of the table-toppers, with the score standing at 26-14 at half-time.

Abhijeet Malik's multi-point raid got Ashish Malik and Gaurav Chhillar, but then Naveen Kumar got Surjeet Singh and Ankush in consecutive raids, keeping the pressure on the two-time PKL champions. Ashu Malik completed his Super 10 with ease, in a do-or-die raid that got Lucky Sharma off the mat.

Guman Singh, Neeraj and Jitender Yadav were combining well but at the other end, Devank and Ayan were starting to mount a comeback. The Gujarat Giants had a healthy 6-point lead midway through the first half. Their defence was doing well to keep the dangerous duo of Devank and Ayan quiet with just under 4 minutes to go.

At the half, the Bengal Warriorz were building on their lead and had moved into a 6-point lead within the first 9 minutes. But in the next couple of minutes, Abhijeet Malik helped bring the deficit down to a 2-point one. The Jaipur Pink Panthers' defence was not able to contain Pranay Rane and Arjun Rathi.

Pawan Sehrawat looked to give his side a quick start, as the Telugu Titans picked up an early 2-point lead. The Puneri Paltan were playing catch up, and it was their defence who were leading the charge. Along expected lines, the Hi-Flyer Pawan was scoring at a fast pace which kept the Telugu Titans, who had to win, in the lead.

Sunil Kumar got his High-5 in the final minutes of the game, and his fellow defenders also made significant contributions to the cause, shutting the door on a comeback for the Patna Pirates. Moments before the end of the game, the Patna Pirates got an All Out, and Devank completed his Super 10 as well.

Gagan Gowda scored a game-high 19 points, while Bhavani Rajput registered a Super 10 and Sumit secured a High-5 to wrap up a commanding performance for the UP Yoddhas and they extended their unbeaten run to eight games. The game started with fast exchanges as Guman Singh and Gowda got their respective sides on the board.

It was an action-packed start to the game as the raiders, Pardeep Narwal and Deshwal wasted no time to get their respective sides on the board. The latter ensured that Jaipur Pink Panthers took the lead with his two-point raid, as he did most of the heavy lifting for his side on the attacking end in the early exchanges.
