Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is finally set to hit the mat today and fans are already excited about it. This will be the seventh season of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League. The first game will be played between Telugu Titans and U Mumba on July 20, 2019 (Saturday) and will kick start at 7:30 pm IST. Meanwhile, defending champions Bengaluru Bulls take on three-time winners Patna Pirates in the second match of the day. PKL will run for the three months with the final on October 19. Teams will face each other in 12 legs in the tournament with the top two ranked teams qualifying directly for the semi-finals, while the next four best teams face each other from which two winners progress to the semis. The twelve teams namely:- Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi, Gujarat Fortunegiants, Haryana Steelers, Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Tamil Thalaivas, Telugu Titans, U Mumba and UP Yoddha will play each other in twelve different legs in the tournament, which starts with Hyderabad leg and is scheduled to conclude with Greater Noida leg.
Among some of the big purchases during auctions of Pro Kabaddi League 2019, Siddharth Desai bagged the highest bid at 1.45 crore and made his way into the Telugu Titans. Nitin Tomar was retained by Puneri Paltan for 1.2 crores with FBM card. The poster boy of Kabaddi Rahul Chaudhary, who played for Telugu Titans in the sixth edition, was bought by Tamil Thalaivas for 94 lakh.
