MS Dhoni has faced a couple of instances where fans have breached security to touch his feet during the match. Yesterday, a similar incident happened with Virat Kohli during DD vs RCB match at the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium in Delhi, which left him astounded. So this is what happened.
Yesterday while batting, Kohli was at the non-striker’s end at the fifth over and then a fan breached the security to touch his feet. The fan was carrying a mobile phone and even managed to click a selfie with Virat and he looked a bit astound with the gesture. Post this, the security personnel took him away. Watch the video below:
Talking about the game yesterday, RCB was chasing a total of 181 runs in the must-win game. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers smashed half centuries, keeping their playoffs hope alive. Skipper of RCB made 70 runs whereas de Villiers remained unbeaten on 72 and won the game with a six. After the match, Virat Kohli said, “The table is wide open, right time to get the win. Great feeling, that we had more support than the Delhi team. We were not clinical with the ball, but these guys played well. The chase, however, was ideal. Bowling first is better in this stage, because it's easier for batsmen to take responsibility. You can almost set up the game how you like. That's what works for our boys. Really happy tonight."
"It's lovely batting with AB. We've done this many times in the past. It was a stiff chase, but in the mid-innings break AB told me 'don't worry, we'll get this', and that helped me get in the zone. I don't need to say much, been an honour for me to bat with him. I was disappointed getting out since we had the run-rate in control. Wanted to finish it with three overs to spare, and get the net run-rate up. It cost us 10-12 balls, the victory," he said on a concluding note.
