Delhi Daredevils wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant took to Twitter to issue a clarification regarding a statement which was attributed to him. After Pant’s unbeaten 128 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) a false statement was doing rounds wherein Pant was quoted as angry against the selectors for leaving him out of the Indian team. Meanwhile, Pant took to his verified Twitter account and clarified that he never said so. Was Rishabh Pant Trying to Sledge RCB Captain Virat Kohli? Watch Video

“Just to clarify some rumours going around about my statement about not getting selected to play for India I never said anything like that it so just giving out my clarification. So please stop spreading rumours and let me concentrate on my cricket,” wrote Pant.

Meanwhile, the left-handed batsman is in good form and current holder of the Orange Cap. Pant has thus far scored 582 runs from 12 matches with a century and four half-centuries against his name. He became the second youngest player to register an IPL hundred and youngest to score 1000 runs in the league’s history.

Ahead of the IPL 2018, Pant was retained by Delhi Daredevils along with Shreyas Iyer and Chris Morris. The wicketkeeper-batsman made his T20I debut against England in February 01. Pant was recently recalled in the Indian T20I side during the Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka. He, however, played just two matches and managed to score just 23 and seven. And thus was dropped from T20I squads for upcoming series against Ireland and England.
