Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Tim Southee is at the receiving end as he breached the IPL Code of Conduct during the team's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium last evening. The Kiwi pacer admitted to the Level 1 offence under 2.1.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and accepted the sanction.

The press release of the IPL read, "Tim Southee, the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler, was issued a reprimand during his team's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday 17th May, 2018," However the release does not mention the event in detail but it is said, that Southee was pulled up after he showed his disappointment towards the television umpire after he turned down the catch.  After the decision was made, Kohli too was seen talking to the umpires seeking a clarification.

Talking about the match last night, AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali were the players who stood tall for RCB scoring 69 and 65 respectively. Colin de Grandhomme contributed with a quick 40 which helped RCB reach the total of 218-6.  Sunrisers Hyderabad's skipper Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey displayed character by scoring 81 and 62 runs respectively. Despite this, the team could not walk away with the last laugh and they lost the game by 14 runs. Team SRH continues to lead the IPL 2018 Points Table. On the other hand, RCB's playoffs hopes stay alive post the winning the contest in Bangalore and the team now features on the fifth spot of the IPL 2018 points table.
