With this, Dhoni becomes the first Indian wicket-keeper batsman to reach the mark.  CSK skipper achieved the feat with a single when Amit Mishra was bowling the thirteenth over.

With this, Dhoni became the fifth Indian to reach the 6000 run mark. The other Indians to reach the milestone are, Suresh Raina (7708), Virat Kohli (7621), Rohit Sharma (7303) and Gautam Gambhir (6402). In terms of foreign players, it is the Universe Boss Chris Gayle who has scored the highest runs. With 21 centuries and 50 half-centuries, Gayle has made 11436 runs. Dhoni ha been in a good form in the IPL 11. The CSK skipper so far has 430 runs so far with an average of 86.00 and a strike rate of 155.23.

Talking about the match yesterday, CSK lost the game by 34 runs and the team remains on number 2 of the IPL 2018 Points Table. After the match, Dhoni said, “Wicket got more difficult in the second half. Nobody was middling it, the bowlers bowled well. Difficult to predict how this pitch will behave. You have to be very practical about why something went wrong. We know the reasons. It's important not to look at the points table. The middle order can also get a partnership. Anyone can get an opportunity. Need to be mentally prepared, more than physical. You can give 100 different plans to the bowlers, but sometimes you have to shuffle the bowlers."
